XM uses two distinct password types per client: one for the Members Area (the broker’s portal) and one (or two) for each MT4/MT5 trading account. The reset flows are similar but separate.
Members Area password reset
Go to the XM login page
Click “Forgot Password”.
Enter your registered email
A reset link arrives within minutes.
Set a new password
Choose a strong password unique to XM.
Trading account password reset
Log into the Members Area
Choose the trading account.
Click “Change Password”
Set a new master (full trading) or investor (read-only) password.
Update MT4/MT5
The new password takes effect immediately. Re-login on all devices using the new credentials.
